Joomla! Showcase DirectorySheffied Bird Study Group
Sheffield Bird Study Group was formed in December 1972 as a forum for birdwatchers in and around the city with an active interest in ornithology. We upgraded their website from Joomla 3, created a new design and custom YOOtheme Pro template and developed a comprehensive Bird Sightings Custom Joomla Component.
We designed and built a new Joomla 5 website and migrated their existing content and users. We built a custom Joomla component and, using a custom script, imported data from their existing Bird Sightings Database. This included over 345,000 bird sightings and over 1300 locations.
The component allows logged out users to view the last 7 days of bird sighting submissions. Once a member has logged in, they can view all sightings dating back to 2011, including their own submissions over that time.
